A local dad with two young teenagers living in Point Chev. I’m focused on what artistic prospects are available to kids. I have a strong interest in creating better opportunities for young creatives in our neighbourhood. Pushing for a good suburban arts strategy to benefit young people in developing their talent locally with their peers and professionally to the wider world. Looking for policies that grow and develop a creative environment for young artists to flourish. With no real suburban arts strategy, young performers are missing out on being on the same playing field as each other. Without spending tons of money, there are lots of ways council can serve artists better. For example, developing the Mt Eden War Memorial Hall as a performing Arts Center and looking at ways that policies can help and develop our young people
Developing strategies to help young creatives explore their talent locally with their peers. Policies that grow opportunities for young creatives to build a scene for themselves. Finding ways council can serve young artists without spending tons of money, helping kids lead our neighbourhood as a vibrant place to be. Let's turn the Mt Eden War Memorial hall into a performing arts centre

The city rail loop presents awesome opportunity for Auckland to take advantage of increased public transport and other walking and cycling options.
Three waters was an excellent opportunity missed by the current government. Water supply, storm and waste should all be with the same body
Auckland suffers from too much reaction and not enough response to our urban development. Auckland was not planned - most of the decisions are reactions and not well thought out. i support intensive development done well without central government meddling
Auckalnd council is one of the biggest poluters and needs to examine it's own practices to mitigate the impact council has on the habitat
Along with sport, the performing arts are a great way for communities to connect. More work from council to build opportunities for creatives to provide a more vibrant neighborhood. Turn the Mt Albert War Memorial Hall into a Performing Arts Centre.
The arts sector is an economic opportunity that is ignored. Giving our young people a chance to grow their talent using their own cultural stories is a unique proposition to the world
