Empowering West Auckland. Take Charge of Our Streets and Our Future! With over 15 years in community development, I'm a listener, a connector, and a fierce advocate for our neighbourhoods. Together with Ken Turner, Sunil Kaushal, and the Westwards team, I'm committed to delivering real, lasting change. My Priorities: Food Sovereignty - Support community gardens, urban farms and local markets to provide fresh, culturally appropriate food; Emergency Preparedness - Strengthen community-led resilience to keep us safe in time of crisis; Community Funding - Unlock accessible, transparent funding for grassroots initiatives; Road Infrastructure - Improve roads around high-density housing to match growth and reduce congestion; Water Quality - Ensure clean, safe water for every household; Smarter Traffic Calming - Replace harsh speed bumps with speed cushions for safer, smoother streets. Change starts with us. Let's build a stronger, safer, and more connected West Auckland - together.
I’m standing to serve West Auckland with integrity, action, and deep roots. I believe in emergency preparedness, food sovereignty, safer streets, and empowering local voices in our communities. With over 15 years in grassroots community development, I champion practical solutions by community for community and building a resilient future where every person feels heard, safe, and supported.
I’ve helped Auckland communities prepare for crisis before it hits—from flood planning to food resilience. My work blends grassroots strategy with creative outreach that informs, connects and empowers. I’m standing to serve with integrity, authenticity and a voice that reflects us all.
Emergency Preparedness – Our safety depends on strong local planning. I’ll back practical resources and community-led action that helps us prepare before a disaster. Food Affordability–Healthy food shouldn’t be out of reach. I’ll support gardens, growers, and markets that make fresh food accessible and teach self-reliance. Community Funding–Grassroots groups need fair, accessible support. I’ll push for transparent funding that backs real solutions and helps these initiatives thrive.
I’ll improve roads around high-density housing to match growth and reduce congestion. I support replacing harsh speed bumps with speed cushions for safer, smoother streets. Public transport should be reliable, accessible and better connected to local streets and community centres.
Everyone deserves clean, safe water. I’ll support better stormwater systems, protect water quality, and push for smarter planning to reduce flood risks especially in vulnerable areas.
Auckland’s growth must reflect community needs, not just developer interests. I support housing that’s affordable, resilient and well-connected to transport. Infrastructure should match population density, especially in West Auckland. I’ll advocate for heritage protection that respects our pas and our present with it's unique local character.
I believe in protecting Auckland’s green spaces, coastlines and wildlife for future generations. I’ll support , clean waterways and better flood planning. Our parks and natural areas should be safe, accessible and well cared for especially in communities hit hard by recent floods.
I’ll support spaces where people feel safe, heard and valued, whether that’s through emergency planning workshops, local events or better access to services. Strong communities are built through trust, clear communication and showing up consistently. I’ll back local groups doing the work and make sure council decisions reflect real needs, not just paperwork.
I’ll support local businesses, especially our small to medium sized, creative industries and job pathways that reflect our community’s strengths. Economic growth should uplift and encourage families, not leaving them to struggle. I’ll advocate for fair funding, vibrant town centres and cultural events that bring people together. Our heritage and diversity are assets worth investing in.
I’ll push for transparent decision-making, fair funding and strong local and diverse voices in council. Everyone deserves access to reliable services, safe infrastructure and support after emergencies. I’ll advocate for better planning at the Port, smart investment through the Future Fund, and outcomes that reflect the needs of all communities.
