Vote Brooke Loader for fairness, progress, and a vibrant future for the West. I'm a lawyer, small business owner and mum raising my whanau here in the place I love. I started out washing cars at my dad's caryard at 14, and seeing my mum support families through budgeting services. I've grown up with a deep commitment to working hard in service to the community. I've brought that dedication to serving you on the Local Board. I've delivered park and playground upgrades, backed better transport, and supported climate and environmental action. In tough times, people need access to parks and libraries, with strong community-led arts, sports and cultural events. My focus will be to protect your services, and promote local job growth through safe and thriving town centres. I love the West, and I'm ready to keep building a community we're proud to call home. Vote Labour. Vote Brooke Loader
I want a community where everyone can have a decent home, enjoy a thriving community which cares for its environment, and be confident that the infrastructure meets the needs of people and the planet into the future. I want to be elected to be an advocate for change on behalf of our community that delivers sustainable outcomes that have our community's best interests at heart.
I'm a local lawyer, small business owner and mum of two with a proven track record of delivering results for our community. I am a strong advocate that has volunteered and served on number of community committees and boards of organisations, particularly in the arts and community development sector, I have volunteered for many community groups and initiatives.
1. Better connected safe communities. 2. Invest more into in parks, playgrounds and green spaces. 3. Advocate for more investment in transport and water infrastructure.
Westies deserve a transport system that enables our community to have options of choice of transport, whether it be on a bus, train or car. I will continue advocating for urgent investment in Northwest Rapid Transit, Henderson Train Station upgrades, road safety, Te Whau Pathway and safe, low-emission transport options. West Auckland deserves reliable public transport. Let’s prioritise equity, climate action, and infrastructure that serves our growing community.
It should manage its water infrastructure well. Henderson-Massey has for years suffered from a lack of investment into water infrastructure that has not met the growing needs of our community, and more needs to be done to fix this. We must support initiatives that improve the quality of water quality in our natural environment, and invest in the infrastructure that can enable this including work by Te Wai o Pareira RiverCare Group (Te Atatū Peninsula) and Ecomatters Love Your Streams Project
Auckland needs to lead the way to become a world-class city. I support thoughtful urban development and growth that strengthens communities and reflects Auckland’s diversity. Housing must be affordable, well-connected to public transport, and designed for long-term sustainability. Infrastructure investment should prioritise reliable transit, active travel, and resilient public spaces. Protecting our heritage is essential to maintain our identity.
I have championed the protection and enhancement of our natural spaces, biodiversity and climate resilience through empowering our community organisations and advocating for this at the Local Board and Governing Body level, and will continue to do so should I be reelected to the Henderson-Massey Local Board.
I will continue to advocate on building strong, connected communities through community empowerment, supporting our signature events like Snow in the Park, and improve local services and facilities and community wellbeing through maintaining access to community centres, libraries and pools, namely a new North West Aquatic Centre. I want to ensure youth, diverse, and cultural voices are actively shaping the future of West Auckland through meaningful engagement and community-led innovation.
My view is that supporting local businesses through safe thriving town centres and nurturing economic growth by supporting new business and job growth through initiatives such as the Te Puna Creative Quarter is an essential role for our Local Board. Our diverse cultural heritage has weaved the foundation of Henderson-Massey, so should be acknowledged and respected.
I value our relationship with mataawaka and Mana Whenua under Te Tiriti and continue to nurture this through collaborating on projects such as Te Kete Rukuruku, activations, and supporting community aspirations for a marae. Westies were severely impacted by the recent storm events, and our communities are still moving from recovery toward resilience. Future planning must focus on reducing risk and strengthening long preparedness.
