Candidate for Henderson-Massey Local Board

WestWards

Candidate statement

A Cleaner, Smarter Future for Henderson-Massey I'm proud to stand alongside Ken Turner, Sunil Kaushal, and the Westwards team - because Henderson-Massey deserves bold, practical leadership that delivers real results. I work in the waste management sector right here in the West. Like many of you, I'm frustrated by the growing problem of illegal dumping - on our streets, in our drains, and polluting our streams. Enough is enough. We need action, not excuses. It might be goodbye to bin tags, but what we need now is a future-focused approach: reliable, frequent waste collection services that keep our communities clean and healthy. I'm excited to join Ken and Sunil in offering a truly representative voice - one that speaks up for the concerns of you, your family, and our wider community. Let's clean up our streets, our waterways, and our local government. Don't let this opportunity go to waste.

Why I want to be elected

Be the voice of reason around the council table to ensure local needs are heard and acted on. Champion the issues that your family and wider community care about. Make our spaces safer for public around dogs. Keep quality and frequency of council services the community values.

My key skills and qualities

Waste management background; keen local history buff; young, engergised and good with numbers. Consciencious decision maker.

My top three key issues

1) Maintain frequent kerbside collections. as the motto goes... Let's waste nothing! 2) Making open spaces safer where dogs play. There are many young families in Henderson-Massey including myself who want action in creating better, safer experiences. 3) Reduce council waste. Too many advisory groups and not enough results.
