Why I want to be elected

I'm passionate about serving our Hibiscus Coast community and protecting our unique spaces. If elected, I'll fight to restore Gulf Harbour Golf Course, advocate for a rock revetment wall Orewa beach. I'll push for more green spaces, like a new Millwater sports facility, and upgrades to parks and facilities. I'll advocate for better transport, including free park-and-ride, enhanced ferry services, and Pen link delivery. My focus is community-led solutions, ensuring our area thrives for everyone

My key skills and qualities

As a local landscaper I have a depth of knowledge about parks and reserves, how to maintain them better, make them safer and more economical to maintain. I currently help coordinate the massive community effort, mowing, pest plant and preservation of the gulf harbor country club land, which has built my skills in community engagement, fundraising and organization. I can apply all of this directly relevant experience on the community board.

My top three key issues

-Gulf harbor Country club (Community ownership & business viability) and strengthen the protection/ covenant. -Improve existing public transport services (7-day/reliable gulf harbor ferry service. -Bus services more direct routes). -The Weiti walkway/cycle way from Arkle's to Silverdale -Preservation of Orewa Reserve by building an economical rock revetment similar to the northern end of the beach this will safeguard the trees, playground, public parking and the volleyball/basketball courts
