HOUSING is a human right, a place where they will feel safe and secure everyone deserves to have a home. HEALTH/MENTAL HEALTH - Reduce waiting time for patients to see the doctors in the community and hospitals. More support for our loved ones with Mental Health complications. HOMELESSNESS/DRUG & ALCOHOL - I have relatives, friends who are stuck in this dark hole and the way out is a long journey to recovery. Which leads to being HOMELESS.
For Botany to have a train station. Focus on the train transportation system as it is faster and has to be reliable as people can take their bikes on the trains.
Ensuring we have a robust plan and resources in place to tackle this issue when it occurs.
Auckland's urban development plan needs to consider the safety and clear access off roads and ensure there is enough parking for the housing infrastructures. We need to protect any heritage infrastructure that we still have so our young generations can learn from it.
Having the community coming together and providing resources to support conservation efforts and promote biodiversity.
Working with Ethnic and Migrant Services, Libraries and Community Centers. I have already have this connection with the East Auckland Libraries as I run the Pacific Language Weeks with the libraries as well as supporting Arts in East Auckland with the Siva Afi (fire dance) in Pakuranga delivering Cultural Initiatives. I volunteer for Sowers Trust and supports with Social Services side of things when needed.
Cultural Heritage I will invest in arts and culture by showcasing Aucklands rich cultural heritage and providing a platform for local artists to shine. Promotes Pasifika, Asian, Maori Festival. Investing in local talents via educational programs, community initiatives and promoting international collaborations.
By utilising Te Puni Kokiri organisation in having community engagement to understand the concerns and aspirations and their values to the port.
