I am deeply committed to serving our community with transparency, accountability and a vision for a better future. I believe in inclusive leadership that listens to every voice. Why I want to be elected
If elected, I will: Leverage my experience, use my knowledge, skills,and community connections to foster growth and positive change. I will maintain and improve facilities. Ensure our public spaces and infrastructure are safe, well- maintained, and meet community needs. Listen and Act: Engage openly with residents,understand their concerns,and work tirelessly to address them. Promote inclusion: Support initiatives that bring people together and ensure no one is left behind.
My key skills and qualities
My experience as a lawyer helps me understand governance, laws, and good decision making skills. I have great interpersonal skills. Active listening to understand diverse community perspective.
My top three key issues
Manage rapid population growth and infrastructure capacity. Transport - essential for Aucklanders. Protect local communities and enviornment.
My position on key topics
Transport
Improve everyday mobility and support broader regional development.
Water
Invest further in rainwater harvesting,reuse, and explore better options. Encourage efficieny through households and businesses. Auckland is vulnerable to flooding, encourage more green infrastructure, gardens etc.
Built environment
Auckland faces high demand for housing but supply has lagged and pushed prices up. I believe in supporting well designed intensification near towns and transport hubs. Encourage affordable housing partnerships.
Natural environment
Expand native planting. Promote green corridors,community gardens and parks in community.
Community
Introduce multi-use community hubs. Invest in upgrading facilities to be more accessible, welcoming and sustainable.
Economic and cultural development
Investing in street upgrades,safety and transport centre's. Partner with local businesses and local campaigns.
Well-managed local government and outcomes for Māori
Expand funding for reo Maori,kapa haka and schools and communities.
