Kia ora. I seek election to the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board to be a strong voice for our community. With experience in engineering, retail, e-commerce, and construction, I bring practical skills to address local needs. If elected, I’ll work for safer streets, better transport, affordable housing, upgraded parks and facilities, business support, and environmental care—delivering transparent, community-focused results.
I bring diverse experience in engineering, retail management, e-commerce, and construction, giving me strong problem-solving, project management, and budgeting skills. As a small business owner, I understand resilience, accountability, and customer focus. I am an active listener, a clear communicator, and committed to transparent, community-driven decision-making—qualities that will help me represent Tāmaki effectively and deliver practical outcomes.
My top priorities are: Safer streets – ensuring well-lit, secure neighbourhoods for all; Affordable housing – supporting developments that meet local needs and keep families in Tāmaki; Better transport – improving public transport links and road safety. I’m passionate about these because they directly impact quality of life, community wellbeing, and economic opportunities for our diverse and growing population.
My priorities are safer, well-maintained roads, reliable and frequent public transport, and safe options for walking and cycling. I will advocate for better bus and train connections, improved footpaths, and protected cycleways. Investing in these will reduce congestion, cut emissions, and make travel easier for families, youth, and seniors. A balanced, sustainable transport system will connect our communities and support local growth.
Auckland’s water must be managed sustainably to protect both people and the environment. I support investment in resilient supply systems, safeguarding water quality, and upgrading storm water and wastewater infrastructure. We must reduce pollution entering our harbours and streams, use smart technology to manage demand, and plan for growth. Clean, reliable water is essential for public health, community wellbeing, and protecting Tāmaki’s natural environment for future generations.
Auckland’s growth must balance housing needs, infrastructure, and heritage. I support more affordable, well-designed housing alongside investment in transport, parks, and community facilities. Development should be sustainable, resilient, and inclusive, ensuring families can thrive. At the same time, we must protect our cultural and historical heritage, as it gives Tāmaki its unique identity. Smart planning can deliver both modern growth and respect for our past.
I believe protecting Auckland’s natural spaces is vital for our health and future. I will support projects that restore wetlands, plant more native trees, and improve waterways. We must reduce waste, cut emissions, and build climate resilience into local planning. Enhancing biodiversity through community-led conservation and sustainable practices will protect wildlife, create greener neighborhoods, and ensure Tamaki remains a safe, healthy, and vibrant place for future generations.
I will build strong, connected communities by supporting inclusive events, youth and cultural programmed, and greater engagement with residents. I’ll advocate for well-maintained parks, libraries, sports grounds, and community centers that are safe and accessible to all. By improving local services, investing in facilities, and listening to diverse voices, we can strengthen wellbeing, reduce social isolation, and create a Tamaki where every resident feels valued and supported.
My vision is to boost economic growth by supporting small businesses, creating local jobs, and encouraging innovation. I will back training and pathways for youth, promote markets and events that showcase local talent, and advocate for fair investment in Tāmaki. At the same time, I will celebrate and protect our cultural heritage—embracing Māori, Pacific, and diverse communities—so growth is inclusive, sustainable, and strengthens our shared identity.
I support delivering Māori outcomes by working in partnership with mana whenua to protect culture, language, and whenua. For the Port of Auckland, I back responsible management that balances economic benefit with environmental care and access to the waterfront. The Auckland Future Fund should be grown through prudent, transparent investment. I will also prioritise strong storm recovery plans, resilient infrastructure, and community support to keep Tāmaki safe and prepared.
