As your current local board member, I’ve had the privilege of supporting projects that benefit our community, including progress on a new library, Observation Green playground, our first Open Arts Studio, increased investment in crime prevention, etc. I volunteer with Harbour Hospice and local organisations, leading programmes that support youth, arts, culture, and promote intergenerational wellbeing. I believe short-sighted and excessive rate increases are unsustainable. I support responsible spending, long-term investment, and diversified income. We need smart planning, fit-for-purpose infrastructure, and climate resilience to meet the needs of a growing Upper Harbour. Strengthening Upper Harbour’s identity will help support local business, attract opportunities, and bring people together. I’m with LivingUpperHarbour, an independent candidate with a practical, community-first approach to local decision-making. As a mother and daughter, I want Upper Harbour to be a place where everyone, regardless of age, background or abilities, feels safe, included, and proud to belong.
I am standing again because I care deeply about Upper Harbour’s future. After 30 years in Auckland, I’ve seen our area grow rapidly, and with that growth come challenges: too few community facilities and youth spaces, limited public transport, rising costs, congestion, road and public safety concerns. I will support financial responsibility, fit-for-purpose infrastructure and facilities, resilient local economy, community engagement and better planning so our people and environment can thrive.
I bring local knowledge and global experience in banking, business and international film, including Disney’s Mulan. With a Master’s in Technological Futures, I offer expertise in finance, governance and innovation. I’ve served on a school board, advise Harbour Hospice, and volunteer with local organisations, leading programmes that support youth, arts, culture and intergenerational wellbeing. I bring vision and responsibility to deliver practical solutions for Upper Harbour.
My priorities are smarter growth, community wellbeing, and financial responsibility. I want better planning and fit-for-purpose infrastructure and facilities, progressing the Albany Library and a Whenuapai community facility, to meet the needs of our growing communities. I’m passionate about community wellbeing, creating youth spaces, supporting arts and culture, and improving road and public safety. I believe in prudent spending, sustainable rates, and building a resilient local economy while
I support safer, more accessible transport in Upper Harbour. My priorities are road safety improvements, especially around schools and retirement villages, safer crossings, footpaths and cycling connections, and reliable public transport that meets the needs of our growing communities. I’ll push for investment that reduces congestion, supports walking and cycling, and plans long-term for growth and climate resilience. and helps everyone travel safely and confidently every day.
I support sustainable water supply so every household has reliable, clean water. We must invest in future-proof infrastructure to keep pace with growth and climate change. Restoring waterways through water-sensitive design and green stormwater systems such as rain gardens means cleaner streams, safer swimming, and less flooding. Upgrading wastewater with projects like the Central Interceptor will cut overflows and protect both our environment and community wellbeing.
I support smarter urban growth that keeps pace with Auckland’s needs while protecting what makes our city unique. We need affordable, healthy homes and fit-for-purpose infrastructure planned alongside growth, so communities don’t fall behind. Investment in transport, water and community facilities must be future-proof and climate-ready. At the same time, I believe in protecting heritage and local character, while balancing people’s current needs with what we pass on to future generation.
I support protecting and enhancing Auckland’s natural spaces by planting more native trees and increasing tree cover in Upper Harbour. This improves air quality, provides shade, and creates spaces for people now. Restoring wetlands, streams and biodiversity will protect wildlife and strengthen climate resilience. I back projects like the North-West Wildlink, connecting habitats across our region, so nature and communities can thrive today and for future generations.
I support building strong, connected communities by investing in fit-for-purpose facilities, youth spaces, libraries and community hubs that bring people together. Local services must keep pace with growth, with safe parks, arts and cultural programmes for all ages. I will continue to support our Ethnic Peoples Plan, progress the Albany Library, Whenuapai community facility and develop an identity for Upper Harbour that fosters belonging, pride, inclusion and wellbeing across our community.
I support a resilient local economy by backing small businesses, encouraging innovation, and creating local jobs. Building a strong identity for Upper Harbour through vibrant town centres, cultural events, arts and heritage will foster pride and belonging while attracting visitors and investment. By linking economic growth with cultural celebration, we can create a community that is prosperous, inclusive and proud of its unique character.
I support genuine partnership with mana whenua to deliver Māori outcomes that strengthen culture, environment and community wellbeing. The Port of Auckland must be managed responsibly, balancing economic value with environmental protection and public benefit. I back growing the Auckland Future Fund to provide sustainable income and reduce pressure on rates. Supporting storm recovery means investing in resilient infrastructure and helping communities rebuild stronger and safer.
