West Auckland has been home for my family and me for twenty years. As an experienced educator and former teacher at Rutherford College and schools throughout Henderson and Massey, I've had the privilege of guiding our young people to find their paths and reach their potential. Now I'm standing for the Waitakere Licensing Trust because I'm passionate about giving back. Through my involvement in local sports clubs, schools, and community events, I see firsthand how crucial this funding is for many organisations. I want to ensure that funding reaches more schools, sports groups, marae, youth initiatives, and community charities. I am committed to ensuring our retail and hospitality workers earn a living wage. As Deputy Chairperson of the Henderson-Massey Local Board, I bring extensive experience, trusted leadership, and a deep love for West Auckland. I am ready to work hard for our community. In my first year as an elected member and Vice President of the Waitākere Licensing Trust, I've seen firsthand the difference our giving can make to the lives of community groups, volunteers, and everyday locals. It's been a joy to serve and help grow that impact. With over 30 years of experience serving our community and a strong background in governance and finance, I bring the skills needed to ensure our Trust remains transparent, accountable, and focused on delivering real value. I've proudly supported local groups and worked to strengthen the connection between the Trust and the people it serves. But we can do more. I believe in giving back generously, with openness and honesty. I'll continue to advocate for increased giving, responsible leadership, and the need to invest meaningfully in West Auckland.
