There are huge issues in our region such as transport and water infrastructure, and the effects on our homes from increasing extreme weather events. I want to inflence these critical decsions, making sure your voices and views are heard at the highest level.

• Getting public transport right for the West, supporting Northwest Busway. Fast frequent and reliable public transport is the key to reducing frustrating congestion that steals so much productive time from us all. • A new swimming pool. Waitakere has the least number of pools in the region. Westwave can't cope with demand. A new pool in the Massey Northwest area will meet growing population • investing in Henderson to make it a thriving town centre - its been neglected for too long
North Western Busway Speed bump design and materials
Good Water quality is critical to the health of our streams and Harbour, continue supporting community group work and fund Healthy Waters to address issues
Support removal of Plan Change 78 Medium Density Residential Standards to revert to Auckland Unitary Plan 2016. This will mean inappropriate suburban development will decrease - this has caused local parking problems on narrow streets and much community stress in the. Support intense development around Mt Albert and Mt Eden rail stations instead.
Fund community groups to do the environmental work they are passionate about. Tree planting, weed and pest control, water quality and stream clean ups.

Attract investment that provides well paid work for local people
I support the Independent Maori Statutory Board bring part of Council decision making. It's members have proven to be a very effective contributing to regional decsions. The Ports of Auckland requires a public discussion before any decsions are made, as with the big conversation Aucklanders need to have about how we address effects on our homes into the future.
