Candidate statement

Waiuku is home for my family and me. As your Franklin Local Board member, I understand the importance of experienced, practical, and enthusiastic representation. My nine years as a City Councillor and subsequent local board service provide a clear understanding of how local government works and how to get things done for Waiuku. I am not afraid to actively speak out and stand up for our community's issues, and I am deeply enthusiastic about preserving Waiuku's special qualities. I've consistently challenged AT's costly projects, advocated for essential infrastructure before development, a sensible solution for mangrove removal and intensified calls for fair water quality for Waiuku. I champion fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability in council spending, ensuring your rates deliver value. I promise to continue dedicated leadership, actively listening to your concerns, and working tirelessly for a stronger, more prosperous Waiuku. It would be my privilege to continue serving you.
