Lives in Manurewa; attended Manurewa High School. The Manurewa Local Board Chairperson, Matt is this year running alongside Councillor Daniel Newman as the second Action-endorsed candidate for the Manurewa-Papakura Ward. As a Councillor, Matt will also work to champion balanced Council budgets without massive rate increases like in other cities. He too supports more front-line staff to catch roaming dogs, a dog de-sexing programme to control the population, and ongoing upgrades to sports parks and reserves throughout Manurewa and Papakura. Matt was in the room for the negotiations to increase the budget for the Manurewa Local Board. Now, Matt wants to provide regional stewardship for our part of South Auckland. As an Action candidate, Matt supports the retention of the weekly household rubbish collection service as championed by Councillor Daniel Newman - a weekly service for public health and cleanliness.
