Candidate statement

I served three terms as an Auckland City Councillor, including as Chair of the Planning and Regulatory Committee, and recently three terms on Auckland Council Local Boards. A published author, and former AUT Business School senior lecturer, I serve as Treasurer of the Auckland Community Housing Trust, and know the importance of housing. I know how to get things done and deliver for you. I was born and raised in Onehunga, attending Royal Oak Primary, Intermediate and Onehunga High School, and attended local churches. I have now returned to play an active role in the lives of my two grandchildren. With them, I attend Onehunga Plunket playgroup, and Kindergarten, Onehunga Primary School, and local parks daily. Our suburbs have many playgrounds, sports fields, community facilities, libraries and swimming pool; all critically important, serving as meeting places, and in building strong and safe communities. Please vote for all the Labour team.
