Christopher Carroll is a primary school teacher and has served as a school board member alongside parents and school leaders. Christopher is committed to ensuring the voice of the community is heard on the Local Board. He has enjoyed meeting residents, listening to their concerns, and wants to be a voice for them going forward. Sensible regulation on the sale of vapes and maintaining our public spaces is important, ensuring residents enjoy Onehunga for what it is - a wonderful place to live. Christopher ran as a candidate for Local Board in 2022 and is running again to be part of bringing positive change to our area. I'm looking to be part of positive change in the community. I'm looking to serve Onehunga and make a difference beyond the classroom. I'm a resident of Onehunga keen on progressive change that benefits youth and young families in the area.

Maintaining positive spaces in the community. Pools, parks and our library are important. Sensible regulation of vapes to protect our young people. Making our dog park a closed space to ensure ease of use for dog owners. Decision making with the community and ensuring that local residents are heard. Being someone who can be contacted when residents want to have their say on matters related to council and our local area.
Onehunga should be connected and trains should run when they say they will run. Our bus network and train connection are important.
Keeping storm water systems ready for unexpected events is a priority. Onehunga deserves clean and clear water that residents can trust.
Looking to develope our area so that housing can be introduced is important. Our community has a unique character that we need to preserve while embracing positive and future proofing changes on infrastructure.
Our natural spaces in Onehunga and One Tree Hill are wonderful and deserve continued attention.

Keeping foot traffic going through our town centre and our businesses busy. Making sure we are connected, vibrant and a great place to visit, work, and live.
Storm water management is important, as is council maintaining a productive relationship with Maori. Our identity is a unique part of our community and ensuring that diversity is embraced and respected by the work of Council is important.
