Time and again, ratepayers have been let down by Auckland Council with higher rates, more bureaucrats, more wasteful spending on pet projects, and neglected public services. It’s time to give Council a wakeup call and focus on the things that matter locally. Having lived in the North Shore for 10 years, I understand the growing pressures on our community. My background as a business owner and community advocate means I have the real-life experience needed to bring fresh practical solutions to the table and get things done. By voting for me as an ACT Local candidate, you know what you are going to get. I will keep rates down, deliver the essential infrastructure, and restore transparency and accountability to the decision-making process so ratepayers know how their money is being spent. If you want to see common sense back around the council table, please give me one of your votes.
Ratepayers have been let down by higher rates, growing bureaucracy, wasteful projects, and neglected basics. It’s time to focus on what truly matters: safe streets, reliable infrastructure, and value for money. After 10 years in North Shore, I know our community’s needs. As your ACT Local candidate, I’ll work to keep rates down, stop wasteful spending, and ensure essential services are delivered. Vote for me to bring real change to our local area.
I’m a small business owner and community advocate with real-world problem-solving experience. I know how to get things done and hold decision makers to account. I’ll keep rates low, ensure essential services are maintained to a high standard, and restore transparency so residents can see exactly how their money is being spent.
Lower rates – stopping waste and keeping council spending focused on essentials. Less waste – ending pet projects and cutting unnecessary bureaucracy. Better services – fixing roads, clearing drains, collecting rubbish and maintaining public spaces
I’ll focus on the basics : maintaining footpaths, clearing drains, and keeping traffic moving. I’ll oppose anti-car measures like excessive speed bumps, unnecessary road narrowing's, and cycleways that don’t reflect local needs. Transport decisions should be practical, community-driven, and free from ideology.
I’ll back local projects that prevent flooding, clear blocked drains, and maintain stormwater infrastructure. We need real investment in pipes and pumps , not costly vanity projects, so our water and wastewater systems stay reliable, affordable, and focused on the essentials ratepayers depend on.
I’ll oppose red tape that blocks development while ensuring infrastructure keeps up. I support increased housing density around key transport hubs , building where it’s most needed and makes the most sense, so Auckland can grow without pushing up rates or wasting money.
I’ll back local pest control, coastal protection, and better flood management , but stop wasting money on political climate projects that don’t deliver for ratepayers or the environment. Focus should be on practical work that benefits nature and protects communities.
I’ll get the basics right : fix walkways, maintain community centers and libraries, and support practical local events that bring people together without pushing politics. Well-run facilities and safe public spaces are the foundation of strong communities.
I’ll work with local businesses to revitalise town centres, improve safety and foot traffic, create better parking spaces, and cut red tape so it’s easier to hold markets, events, or get a licence. Strong local economies and vibrant communities go hand-in-hand.
All residents should be treated equally. I’ll campaign to remove the voting rights of unelected Independent Māori Statutory Board members on council committees. Strategic assets like the Port and Future Fund must be run efficiently to lower rates, strengthen resilience, and stop waste.
