My family and I reside in Te Atatu Peninsula. We love living here and have built some strong connections in our community. As a self-employed marketing professional, I'm passionate about supporting small business owners and using my skills to help them grow. It's been a tough few years out there particularly for those involved in hospitality in the West trying to operate within the restrictive rules of the licensing monopoly. That's the one reason why I support a referendum, another is providing an entire generation of Westies (with the last vote held in 2003, who are now almost 40!) the opportunity to have their say. Positive change has come from having myself and other WALTAG members elected to the boards, and we'll continue to build on that momentum by driving greater efficiency and more funding.
