Why I want to be elected
I’m standing because I care deeply about Papatoetoe and the people who call it home. After the last election was voided due to irregularities, restoring integrity and trust in our local democracy is essential. I’m motivated to strengthen community safety, invest wisely in infrastructure, and ensure responsible spending. If elected, I will prioritise transparent decision-making and put residents first.
My key skills and qualities
I will make a strong elected representative because I am deeply connected to Papatoetoe and committed to serving our community. Living locally and working at Papatoetoe High School keeps me connected to residents’ everyday needs. As a Rotarian and volunteer across our board area, I understand our diverse communities. I bring integrity, collaboration, and a dedication to listening, with a focus on transparent, responsible decision-making.
My top three issues
1. Invest in infrastructure: Fix footpaths and roads, manage infill housing, and address parking to make Papatoetoe safer and easier to get around.
2. Enhance safety: Manage dirt bike disruptions and other risks to create safer neighbourhoods for all ages.
3. Integrity in local democracy: Restore trust and transparency, protecting residents’ voices so every community and age group is heard.
