My principal place of residence is not in the Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board (Papatoetoe Subdivision) area.
I’ve had a long association with Papatoetoe as a former business owner and secretary of the Old Papatoetoe Business Association. Currently, I lead an NGO which supports survivors of abuse in State care and faith-based institutions.
I believe in strong community connections, celebrating our diversity while fostering unity and support for all.
I’m committed to transparent, accountable governance with responsible spending and clear communication. Local Boards are meant to reflect the voices of the whole community. As an independent, I’m not tied to any political party and can approach every issue with an open mind, listening to your concerns first. That’s what good leadership should be.
If elected, I will remain vigilant to defend our democracy from the fraudulent activities which caused the 2025 election results to be nullified and this election called.
I ran a business on St. George Street, Papatoetoe for 10 years and was strongly supported by the community. Now semi-retired, I want to give back and have the time to contribute to this demanding role.
If elected, I will prioritise the needs of all residents. The board should not be driven by political or ethnic groupings, but by fairness and cohesion. As part of Independently Papatoetoe, we will listen openly and put community interests first.
I studied Commerce at University of Auckland (Accounting) and have extensive experience in accounting and retail business ownership, including 10 years running North Memorials. I bring strong commercial insight to governance. As Secretary of Old Papatoetoe Business Association, I ensured compliance with the BID constitution. I have also chaired body corporate committees managing complex, high-value remediation projects delivered on time and under budget. I am honest, diligent, people-focused.
Listening to the people is fundamental to democracy. After the unprecedented 2025 election being overturned due to fraud, I will protect its integrity. I will work with Auckland Council to secure funding for disadvantaged communities through grants. Public safety is a priority—I will advocate for more police resources, including CCTV and patrols, to address crime in South Auckland.
