Why I want to be elected
I was born and raised in South Auckland and live in Papatoetoe. I love our home, but I know it can be better. I’m seeking re-election to continue improving outcomes for our community. Whether it’s safety, housing intensification pressures, or creating a stronger future for our youth, the Local Board plays an important role in shaping our future and managing these challenges.
My key skills and qualities
My professional background, governance experience, and being local shape the skills I bring. I’m a civil engineer with almost a decade of experience in infrastructure planning and asset management, focused on long-term value and risk management. As former Deputy Chair of the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board, I understand council systems and processes. Born and raised here, I bring strong community connection and local insight.
My top three issues
My top priorities are community safety, managing growth, and youth engagement. Safety matters to me because everyone deserves to feel secure where they live and work. Rapid housing growth must be matched with proper infrastructure to protect our quality of life. As one of Auckland’s youngest communities, investing in youth pathways and opportunities is critical to building a safer, stronger future for Papatoetoe.
