Samuel Clarke is committed to creating smarter, safer, and more supportive communities. He proposes planting fruit trees around schools to provide free, fresh food for young students travelling to and from school - offering to personally fund the project if needed. To ease traffic, he supports using anonymous cellphone movement data to improve transport planning. Samuel aims to make commuting easier by adding scooter storage on buses and trains and building secure car parks at shared train stations. For safety, he proposes introducing facial recognition software on local public transport to deter crime and enhance passenger safety. Clarke also supports launching a local trial program where beneficiaries and retirees could receive a reduction of up to $150 a week on rates, provided they contribute additional hours of work or service to the community, with a focus on basic education. He advocates for innovation that drives meaningful, sustainable change.

Candidate statement
I have served as an Albert-Eden-Puketāpapa councillor since 2022, after twelve years on the Puketāpapa Local Board. I seek your support to continue representing our area for another three years as your Councillor. At its heart a city is about sharing; how we live together and pool our resources to make life better. My extensive local experience helps make our city and region better for everyone. I believe in strong local democracy and giving a voice to locals across the whole term. I’ve regularly reported on my work, been accessible to constituents, and held in-person clinics. I secured community information sessions for many neighbourhoods hit by storms in 2023 and in 2025, and assisted hundreds of households with local issues around footpaths, flooding, transport and more. I advocate for climate action, improved transport choices and affordable housing. Please vote for me, Jon Turner and the whole City Vision team.

C&R - Communities and Residents
Candidate statement
I bring strong experience of government, having served as MP, Minister Local Government, Mayor Auckland City and now Auckland Councillor. Coming from the private sector, working in manufacturing I know how to get things done. I'm proud to have led transformative projects like Britomart and the opening-up of Auckland's waterfront. This term, I oversaw the establishment of the Future Fund, securing Auckland's long-term financial resilience. I'm deeply concerned that Council has not pushed hard enough in negotiations with Central Government - especially around PC78, the RMA and protection of Auckland's built character. I also believe the continuing rising costs of running Council places an unsustainable burden on ratepayers. I'm passionate about Auckland's parks, harbours, heritage, and inclusive communities. I'm a founding Trustee of Motutapu Restoration Trust and patron Auckland Special Olympics. I seek your support to serve Auckland with commonsense not ideology. Vote Christine Fletcher and C&R, Community and Residents.

Candidate statement
Born at Greenlane Hospital to hardworking migrant parents, my first home was at 435 Dominion Road. I've lived in the Albert-Eden-Puketāpapa area for 49 years, it's where I grew up, attending Good Shepherd, then Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, and later St Peter's College in Mt Eden. I've played football locally for Central United, Three Kings (now Auckland United), and now Western Springs. I've coached juniors, served on football committees, and given back through the Dominion Road Business Association and Croatian Cultural Society. I've run successful businesses in Mt Roskill, Mt Eden, and Sandringham, and bring over 30 years of experience in fashion, textiles, property, and global supply networks. I've designed homes, fashion collections, and technology; always with a practical, creative mindset. It's been an honour to serve on the Puketāpapa Local Board for the past three years. I'd love your support to continue. Vote Mark Pervan and C&R

I’m a proud 26-year local resident, parent, and candidate running to bring practical and rational leadership back to Council. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Physics, I’ve worked as a software developer, small business owner, and real estate agent. I understand the real-world pressures facing families, homeowners, and small businesses. My Action Plan is grounded in common sense: End Wasteful Spending; Eliminate vanity projects; Require cost-benefit analysis before spending public money; Lower Rates. Focus on Core Services; Deliver better services with smarter spending and tighter budgets; Improve Traffic. Remove AT’s unrealistic 'Vision Zero' policy; End excessive traffic-calming; Focus on maintenance, safety, and traffic flow; Scrap Pointless Emissions Targets. Focus on Climate Adaptation; Ditch costly ideology-driven targets; Invest in stormwater management, and resilience. Vote Paul Sun. Rational Approach, Independent Voice, Local Focus.

Candidate statement
I'm standing for Councillor to continue serving the community I live in and love. I bring experience as a two-term Puketāpapa Local Board member, Chair of the Manukau Harbour Forum, local school teacher, and volunteer with sporting and environmental groups. Improving transport has been a key priority. I've worked to make it safer and easier for people to get around - improving footpaths, boosting crosstown bus routes, and making it safer for kids biking to school. Environmental restoration has also been a key focus. I secured funding to repair the storm-damaged Waikōwhai Coast and restore local streams. As Forum Chair, I championed a healthier Manukau Harbour and secured regional investment. Auckland faces serious challenges: housing affordability, infrastructure pressure, and environmental degradation. I offer a future-focused approach and a strong record of listening to community voices and delivering practical solutions. Please vote for me, Julie Fairey, and the City Vision team.

Every year, Auckland’s report card says the same thing: 'Real potential: lacks imagination and application.' As New Zealand’s biggest city and regional economy, we have a responsibility to do better. I'm standing for both the Albert-Eden Local Board (Ōwairaka Subdivision) and Auckland Council because I’m tired of feeling like Government is something that’s done to us, rather than something that's for us. Priorities: 1. Better Decisions, Better Outcomes. We can unlock new and ongoing value from council assets through creativity and innovation; 2. Local Businesses, Local Life. We have to support our small businesses in order to renew our suburbs and city centre; 3. Honesty and Free Speech. Let’s have civility, but the truth. We’re adults, we can handle it. I don’t know everything - but I do know I’m still idealistic (or stupid) enough to believe I can make a difference. Vote For Matt Zwartz, and let’s find out!
