Candidate statement
I stand for clear principles: Every person is their own property; The fruits of your labour are your property; You may use your property freely, provided you do not damage another’s property; If damage occurs, you must fully compensate the damage; Always act honourably and in good faith. The proper role of government is limited to managing Public Goods and Natural Monopolies - those essential services which markets alone cannot efficiently provide. These include: National and Local Defence; A fair Justice System; Emergency Services; Infrastructure that supports all of us. I will stand firmly against government overreach, wasteful spending, and unjust interference in your life and livelihood. Auckland deserves leadership that defends your freedoms, respects your property, and delivers only what is necessary - nothing more. Vote John Alcock for rational, principled leadership.

Fix Auckland
Candidate statement
Hi voters! Three years ago, Aucklanders entrusted me with their support for my five key policies: Stopping Wasteful Spending, Finishing Our Big Projects, Taking Back Control of our CCOs, Speeding Up Traffic with Smart IT, and Making the Most of our Harbours. I'm proud to say we've made real progress on all fronts. Plus, your council now boasts a Future Fund and Sustainable Finances, all while delivering the lowest municipal rate rises in New Zealand! I am seeking another three years to lock in the savings and complete my policies, especially fixing Auckland Transport, once I get control of AT as promised by the government. So, please vote me back in as Mayor to finish the job and Fix Auckland!

Candidate statement
Multi-ethnic, multi-cultural Auckland must be a society of racial equality. One person, one vote majoritarian democracy respecting the rights of minorities must be the rule. Auckland Council must embody these fundamental principles of modern liberal democratic civilisation. In particular, Auckland Council should not promote or entrench Maori minoritarian objectives or tribal agendas over and above any others in the community. For example, Auckland Council ought not enter a joint committee established under the Local Government Act 2002 for the management of the Waitakere Ranges Heritage Area that is comprised of 50% public interest representation from Auckland Council and the Crown (Department of Conservation), on the one hand, and 50% Maori tribal private interest representation, on the other hand. The Waitakere Ranges can be perfectly managed in perpetuity to benefit their natural endowments and all Aucklanders without such oppressive, anti-democratic public-private partnership (PPP) gerrymandering. If you agree, vote for Michael Coote.

We need a Mayor who will solve Auckland's problems, and make it the best city it can be. Our biggest problems include transport /congestion, Housing cost/shortage, water/waste, rates rises, rogue CCO's, red tape, wastage, overspending, incompetence and poor accountability. I will: Focus council on it's core responsibilities and services.eg infrastructure; create a world class rail network linking the entire city, airport and north shore; ship goods at night via rail; cut motorway congestion by making public transport cheap, efficient and reliable; sort out the ports; revitalise the inner city by allowing easier access; prevent begging/sleeping on our streets; make Auckland safe again; freeze rates; cut red tape; stop wastage, incompetence and corruption. I am married with children, born and raised in Auckland. A lawyer with the skills and knowledge to solve Auckland's problems. If you remember nothing else remember this. 'I will solve Auckland's problems.'

Animal Justice Party Aotearoa NZ
Candidate statement
The world is in crisis - war, climate chaos, and systems treating animals and humans and environment as expendable. The change we need starts locally, in how we live, protect animals, and care for our shared home. Vote for Rob McNeil, Animal Justice Party – Animals. Environment. People. Everything is connected. Cruelty to animals and destruction of nature harm us all. Local councils shape how we build, move, and protect life. Animals must be central in those decisions. We’re fighting for: No live exports through our ports; Mandatory funded desexing of dogs and cats; Funded animal rescues and sanctuaries; Respect for Te Tiriti; Food gardens, native planting, thriving biodiversity; Low rates and efficient governance; Better public transport for all species; Clean waters and green spaces - rewilding for climate resilience. Vote for Rob McNeil, Animal Justice Party. Let’s build communities that protect animals - and us.

Change should never increase the struggles people face. Improvement is not improvement if it does not alleviate the harsh strains that are present in the lives of the people that call this city home. Tāmaki Makaurau is filled with incredible minds. With your support, I intend not to be the 'face' of Auckland, but the hands of the people. If elected, I plan to push forward changes that give power to your voices. To grow communities by providing everyone the ability to engage with each other in the ways they feel most comfortable and most included. Life should not be a spectator sport. Thank you for your support. Ngā mihi nui, Jason Pieterse

As a proud father and experienced engineer, I’m standing for Mayor to bring practical, solutions-focused leadership to Auckland. With a strong background in the private sector, I understand the importance of accountability, innovation, and delivering results. My engineering training taught me how to solve complex problems a skill our city urgently needs. I’ve worked on transformative projects and led teams that have delivered world class products and I believe Auckland deserves the same efficiency and transparency in its leadership. As a parent, I want a city that works not just for us today, but for our children tomorrow with safe communities, reliable transport, and sustainable growth. I’m not a career politician. I’m someone who rolls up their sleeves, listens, and gets things done. Together, we can build a city that works for everyone. I’m ready to serve, and I’m asking for your support.

Mayoral candidate Wakeman has last lived on the North Shore. Wakeman did his commercial pilot's license at Ardmore Airport. Worked as a contract pilot in Singapore. 21/09/17 Wakeman took a pipeline resolution to the Auckland Airport AGM. Wakeman complained to TVNZ, BSA, RNZ. Approximately 2 million Ukranian and Russians dead. Approximately 80% of the deaths in WW2 were Russian and Chinese. Israel is breaching international law by starving Palestinians to death. USA must recognise Palestine in the UN, stop supplying funding and weapons to Israel. NZ Government must follow international law not enabling genocide. Questioning funding, of the Five Eyes spy network. Spending more money on defence when Palestinians, women and children are being killed, starved, bombed, shot with insufficient housing in NZ is unacceptable. RBNZ debt free money. Wakeman opposes the fluoridation of water as it raises serious mental health questions. Accountability is needed for Auckland's water.
